WHY WE LIKE IT

‘Bim Bum Bam’ orange from Le Quattro Volte will transport you straight to Calabria, kissed by the Mediterranean sun and caressed by the winds blowing in from the Tyrrhenian Sea. It's a burst of floral and tropical aromas with hints of mango and passion fruit, and a savory edge that pairs beautifully with bold, flavorful dishes like spicy shrimp noodles, vegetable curry rice or Mexican tacos with marinated meat and pineapple.

Le Quattro Volte

Le Quattro Volte is a Calabrian winery based in San Marco Argentano, in the province of Cosenza, in the northern part of the region. It sits inland, in rolling hills that overlook the Tyrrhenian coast - a winegrowing area of real substance, nestled geographically between the Sila and Pollino National Parks. The soils here are rich in clay and limestone, and the constant breeze flowing through the rows is an essential element in vine cultivation. Local grapes like Magliocco, Mantonico, Guarnaccino, and Malvasia thrive here, and Gianpiero works with them in a pure, clean style to extract the true nature of the Cosentino terroir.

Le Quattro Volte project was born from a deep friendship between Daniela De Marco and Giampiero Ventura, former founders of Masseria Perugini winery, along with Brunori Sas, the beloved indie-pop singer-songwriter, and Emilio Di Cianni. The inspiration comes from Brunori’s song Le Quattro Volte, one of his most iconic tracks, where he reflects on life as it flows through shared moments, rituals, and traditions, speaking of the possibility of being reborn, even more than once “if you feel like it.”

Giampiero of Le Quattro Volte was intrigued by the idea of wine in a bag-in-box which he was already supplying to Osteria di Sauli, the Roman hangout of Zero Calcare. The name they chose for their boxed wine is ‘Bim, Bum, Bam’ a playful and bittersweet tribute to wine in a carton, and to the italian iconic kids’ TV show that kept an entire generation company every afternoon from 1981 to 2002.
